SKALL knitting pattern for the Lennox Jumper.

Product details

(Yarn is NOT included with this item)

Lennox Jumper is inspired by the Nordic and Scandinavian tradition of warm, chunky knitwear, particularly the classic Aran patterns that have long been associated with fishermen and life by the sea. A tradition we feel closely connected to, having grown up near the sea ourselves.

Aran knitwear also has a long history in England and Scotland, which brings us to the connection with John Lennon, who had a country home in Scotland with his family. John Lennon and The Beatles are an eternal source of inspiration in our work, through their music, creativity and values.

CONSTRUCTION
The Lennox Jumper is knitted from the bottom up. Cables are worked throughout the entire piece. The body and sleeves are joined at the armholes, and the yoke is completed with raglan decreases.

The neckline is shaped by binding off stitches on the front piece. The work is then knitted back and forth according to the charts while working decreases.

The body and sleeves are started using the Italian cast-on method. The collar is knitted last, first in the round using double knitting, followed by ribbing and an Italian bind-off.
